8 Friends Groups Selected for National Park Foundation’s
Park Partners Project

Washington, D.C. (September 24, 2014) – The National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, announced today that eight local philanthropic park partners or “Friends Groups” were selected to participate in the fourth year of the Park Partners Project.

The Park Partners Project provides selected Friends Groups with capacity building through strategic consulting and training on best practices in governance, fundraising, and marketing, resulting in more effective organizations and stronger partnerships. The Park Partners Project is just one way in which the National Park Foundation provides technical assistance and support to national park Friends Groups.

“The Foundation’s Park Partners Project helps cultivate and strengthen the broad and diverse community of national park supporters,” said Neil Mulholland, president and CEO of the National Park Foundation.  “We look forward to working together with the 2014 grantees as we continue to grow philanthropic support for the incredible places that tell the story of America.”
